As we move rapidly into November approaching the Holiday Season, we reflect on the positive things that have happened this year. We continue our partnership with the two local youth organizations- The Treehouse Center for young girls 5-15 years of age, and Yes to Youth, Montgomery County Youth Services.
The Conroe Kiwanis Club will be making a Christmas donation to both organizations next month as part of our mission to help the local youth in our area. Yes to Youth has a community giving Christmas project at Market Street where twelve fully decorated, themed Christmas trees will be displayed adjacent to Cru and the Concierge booth.
Guests may bid on the decorative trees, with proceeds benefiting YES to YOUTH. One of the trees will be decorated by the youth currently living in the shelter. The trees will be available for purchase online November 20 through December 18.
We pray for peace in our country after this very memorable election season. Record turnout in Early Voting after a very turbulent year ended in the re-election of our State Senator Brandon Creighton, US Representative Kevin Brady, and a new mayor for Conroe, Jody Czajkoski. Congratulations to all the dedicated individuals and their families.
Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11 and it is a day we all should pray for the military who have served our country honorably while sacrificing time for our safety.
As we continue to grow our Club we are engaging with local students and schools in the area to add more Key Clubs. Youth involvement is the core of our mission to mentor and engage students as they grow into adulthood with positive influences.
The Conroe Noon Kiwanis Club has been serving children in the community since 1952. The members are dedicated to helping kids locally around the Greater Conroe area.
