This last week we heard from Joy Montgomery, Executive Director of the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County with information about their 35-Year Anniversary. So much of Conroe history is in and around the museum! It is a great place to be educated about the rich history of our community, the artifacts they showcase, and they even have a gift shop with all proceeds benefitting the museum. Great gifts for anyone living in the community or those that have family with legendary heritage ties to Conroe. Go by and see if your family is part of the museum!

On Wednesday, March 4 we will hear from Amy Ressler, County Extension Agent with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Located on Airport Road in Conroe by Lone Star Convention Center, the Extension Service provides programs to teach people how to improve agriculture and gardening through the Master Gardeners, how to strengthen communities, and improve the lives of youth through partnering with schools and 4H. Amy has an emphasis on advancing health programs and consumer sciences. Her staff connects with hands on programs for both adults and students in Family Health and Wellness including the Annual Walk Across Texas and Dinner Tonight Programs. We look forward to hearing more from her.

The  Conroe Noon Kiwanis Club will be partnering with the Caney Creek Key Club for the Annual Park Clean Up at our adopted park, Founder’s Plaza Park on March 28. Details to follow in later articles. Everyone is welcome to come out and join us!
