Courier August 31, 2020

As we spoke about in our last article, Kiwanis Kids Day at the Park is cancelled.  The overall concern is for the safety of the children and families attending the event with the ongoing pandemic. The Conroe Noon Kiwanis will be doing another event, but with things so uncertain still, we will wait to announce any specifics at this time.

Kid Fish is still scheduled for Saturday, Sept 12 from 9:00am-noon for youth ages 16 and younger. No sign ups required, but youth are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear.

At our August 12  we had more of our scholarship recipients visit the club. Ethan Price of Lake Creek High School is attending Lone Star/SHSU studying Construction Management. Brooke Hertzenberg attended Oak Ridge High School and will be studying optometry at University of Houston, Katherine Riggins graduated from Calvary Baptist and will at Lone Star/SHSU with a major in Elementary Education. Congratulations and we wish them well!

One of our youth organization partners, Yes to Youth is in desperate need of volunteers to take food to the kids in their shelter program. You can email Sheila.King@youthmc.org or follow this link to sign up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040e49aca922a5fd0-back

We need volunteers from the community to grow our club with fresh ideas to inspire the youth and children in the Greater Conroe area. No RSVP needed to join us for lunch!
