Did you know that you can have your business, civic organization, or nonprofit Adopt a City of Conroe Park? There are 26 parks in Conroe, and they are not all adopted. There are a variety of amenities different at each park throughout the Greater Conroe area. Playgrounds, pavilions, basketball courts, picnic areas, sports fields, and many are able to reserve for gatherings of any size from small gatherings to major events.

The  Conroe Noon Kiwanis Club adopted the Founder’s Plaza Park many years ago and are very dedicated to giving back to the community where we do business. The Annual Park Clean Up will happen March 28 at the Park as a community outreach program. Our partnership helps to keep Montgomery County parks clean and safe for both kids and families to enjoy.

On Saturday, March 28, the club and the Caney Creek Key Club will “brush up” our adopted  historical park. Lots of Chalk Up Conroe art designs will still be on the sidewalk from Chalk Up Conroe which will still remain intact. on the sidewalk. The club will trim bushes, power wash as needed, and light gardening. We hope that by providing a clean and safe environment for children to play will encourage outdoor activities while promoting physical well-being.

Everyone is welcome to come out and join us! Spring will be here very soon!

Remember to come to the March 4 meeting to hear from Amy Ressler, County Extension Agent with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
