Recently several Conroe Noon Kiwanis members joined Penny Wilson and other staff members of Yes to Youth, to prepare a pancake breakfast for youth and their parents of the week-long summer camp sponsored by Youth Services. Sumer camp activities include 2 days at a challenge and ropes course, a day at the YMCA, and finally finish celebration at Incredible Pizza.

“Yes to Youth”-Montgomery County Youth Services is continually looking for volunteers. Kiwanis members are excited about out connection with the organization and the opportunity to offer volunteer and monetary donations in the future for the long haul. It correlates with our mission of changing lives of children and youth in the Greater Conroe area.

At the lunch meeting on June 12, we had the pleasure of visiting with one of our scholarship recipients from Willis High School. It is always a thrill for members to have conversation in person with any of the high school scholarship recipients. You can see the impact Kiwanis is making in their lives even a little bit at a time. Hopefully the students will connect with Circle K, the World’s largest student-led collegiate service organization, and an affiliate of Kiwanis.

Kiwanis changes lives through community service, including the volunteer!
